Circumcision
Drink plenty of fluids Cystectomy (open)
No lifting of heavy objects for 6 weeks Cystocele
The catheter and vaginal packing is left in overnight. Follow directions on removing the gauze and catheter.
Rest for 48 hours Avoid work for 1 - 2 weeks Avoid constipation No heavy lifting for 2 - 4 weeks No tub baths, pools or sex for 6 weeks Vaginal discharge is common for 1 - 2 weeks ESWL (Shock Wave Lithotrispy)
Blood in the urine is common for 24 - 48 hours

The catheter is usually left in over night
Blood in the urine for about 2 weeks is common. Burning, a feeling of urgency and frequency is common for 2 - 8 weeks Hydrocele / Vasectomy
Bruising, swelling and aching is common for 48 hours
Use ice for 48 hours No shower for 48 hours If non strenuous, you may resume work after 48 hours Hypospadius Repair
